Pakistan fast bowler Rauf banned for 2 matches for violating ICC code of conduct in Asia Cup
The ICC on Tuesday banned Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf for two matches for violating its code of conduct during Twenty20 games against India in the Asia Cup. The ban means Rauf will be eligible only for the third game of the ODI series against South Africa at Faisalabad on Saturday.
The hearings were conducted by members of the ICC’s Elite Panel of Match Referees following controversial moments in the games between the arch-rivals on September 14, 21 and 28.
The whole Asia Cup tournament saw plenty of rancour between the India and Pakistan teams, since it was the first time the team arch-rivals were meeting on the cricket field after the heinous Pahalgam terror attacks where 26 Indians lost their lives.
Three of India's best players at the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 have earned a place in ICC's Team of the Tournament alongside other major international stars.
Pakistan matches. Haris Rauf fined 30% of match fee, Suryakumar Yadav penalized, and Sahibzada Farhan warned for breaching ICC Code of Conduct.
Pakistan pace Haris Rauf copped two financial penalties of 30 percent each for two separate incidents during matches against India at Asia Cup 2025 in the UAE.
