Air India flight AI129 from Mumbai to London was delayed nearly 7 hours due to a technical snag, following a day after the Delhi airport AMSS system failure delayed 800+ flights.

Flights at Indira Gandhi International airport are experiencing a delay due to a technical glitch with the air traffic control (ATC) system. As per a PTI report, the disruption began Thursday, November 6 evening impacting both arrivals and departures.

Air India flight AI129, which was scheduled to depart from Mumbai for London at 6:30 AM, has been delayed on Saturday.

Delhi Airport operator DIAL said flight operations at the airport were disrupted due to an ongoing technical issue with the AMSS that supports air traffic control flight planning process.

Air India's check-in systems at Delhi and some other airports faced problems due to a third-party connectivity network issue on Wednesday, according to sources.

Air India, Indigo, SpiceJet airlines on November 7, warned of delays and longer wait times as Delhi airport faced tech glitch. The Airports Authority of India has also issued a statement.

While the carrier did not disclose details about the airports where the check-in systems were affected, PTI reported most of the domestic airports were impacted, and the check-in systems were down at the various airports for more than an hour.

Regarding this entire incident of flight delay, passengers stated that no clear information was being provided at the airport. The flight kept getting delayed, but no one was willing to explain the reasons for the aircraft being stopped.

IndiGo and Air India Express have cancelled multiple flights across Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry, while 43 trains have been suspended in the Visakhapatnam region.
