New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stated he would not engage with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's criticisms. Netanyahu accused Mamdani of fomenting hate and creating fear among Jewish New Yorkers.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he plans to travel to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly, regardless of a clash with Mayor Zohran Mamdani over the International Criminal Court’s warrant for the Israeli leader’s arrest.

The New York mayor said he is engaged in “an active conversation” with his Law Department on whether he can detain the Israeli premier.
