ESPN has updated its Total QBR rankings after Week 8, and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin is making a move up the Big Ten ranks.
As such, ESPN’s updated Football Power Index (FPI) ratings have changed quite a bit following Saturday’s games. The ESPN FPI is a “ predictive rating system designed to measure team strength and project performance going forward,” so it is not a 1-to-128 rankings list but instead a predictor.
The college football season is heating up after a wild Week 8 that saw a number of top 25 ranked programs all lose on the same Saturday, and that has created an interesting dynamic in the latest updated ESPN FPI with just a month remaining in the regular season.
