With Italy and the Netherlands joining the ranks, a total of 15 teams have now officially qualified for the 20-team World Cup event

In a must-win battle on the final day of the ICC Men's T20 World 2026 Europe Qualifier, Jersey edged past Scotland off the final ball to stay in contention for the marquee event next year in India and Sri Lanka.

New teams making the T20 World Cup has been the norm over the last few editions. Joining the storied climb of Afghanistan, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and US next year would be Italy when they make their presence in the T20 World Cup to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February-March.
