A number of television executives have been affected by the major round of layoffs at Paramount, the first since the company was established by the $8.4 billion merger of Paramount Global and Skydance in August.

The long-running MTV comedy clip series "Ridiculousness" has been canceled. The current season, its 46th, will continue to air on MTV through 2026, according to two sources familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, but no more original episodes of the show will be produced.
