Ukraine has reportedly sent its elite special-operations forces to Pokrovsk in a desperate attempt to stop Russia's invasion.

While the defending army continues a heated resistance in Pokrovsk, Russia’s drones keep disrupting vital supply lines.

Russian air strikes hit Ukrainian civilian sites, Ukrainian officials said on November 3, killing several people and seriously damaging residential buildings while Moscow said it carried out massive attacks as its troops continue to make advances in the key city of Pokrovsk.

Ukrainian special forces have launched a counter-offensive in Pokrovsk, using US-made Black Hawk helicopters. The goal of the operation was to reopen supply lines in the besieged city, which has held out for more than a year against a Russian offensive but now appears on the brink of capture.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received reports from military commanders on the situation at the front, noting that Ukrainian forces have achieved results in destroying Russian troops in the Pokrovsk sector.

Fighting for control of the strategic hub of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is intensifying, with the Russian Defense Ministry claiming to have eliminated a group of Ukrainian special forces sent to help defend the area.
