So long Focaccia! This sub-adult Kemp’s ridley sea turtle was found near Sand Key beach in June. Upon intake, Focaccia was displaying neurological symptoms, an indicator of red tide exposure. The turtle was treated with fluids and an IV fat solution to flush the brevotoxin out of their system. Focaccia recovered quickly and has now been cleared for release by our veterinarian and Florida Fish and Wildlife! | Clearwater Marine Aquarium
