We are sorry to learn of the passing of noted forensic pathologist, consultant and author Dr. Cyril Wecht at the age of 93. Dr. Wecht began researching the Kennedy assassination in 1965 and served on the forensic pathology panel for the House Select Committee on Assassinations in the 1970s. He later was a consultant on Oliver Stone’s 1991 film, JFK. A colorful and outspoken critic of the Warren Commission investigation, he recorded an oral history with our Museum in 2016.
