We elevated Saturday to our highest index for impactful weather, FIRST WARN WEATHER DAY. Our chance for measurable snow continues to increasing, now 50%-60% for 1" and 30%-40% for 3". The track of our winter storm continues to shift north, putting us in more favorable conditions for higher snow amounts. Our current thinking is 4" to 6" around Kansas City with more south and less north. We are seeing more signs that this could increase more. Expect the snow to begin Friday night and taper Sunday morning. Accumulating snow likely all day and wind chills down to 20 below 0 is why we issued a FIRST WARN WEATHER DAY for Saturday.
